2017 IEEE SPS Best Paper Award for Christian Riess

Christian Riess (Lehrstuhl Informatik 1) receives the 2017 SPS Best Paper Award on behalf of IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) for his paper “An Evaluation of Popular Copy-Move Forgery Detection Approaches” which was jointly authored with Vincent Christlein, Johannes Jordan, Corinna Riess, and Elli Angelopoulou and which appered in IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security (Volume 7, No. 6, December 2012). The SPS Best Paper Award is regularly given to high impact journal papers and is based on a nomination from the respective IEEE Technical Committee a couple of years after publication.
